For those that noticed any recent slowness on the GamersGallery.com server which includes the following sites:
It's because we have upgraded it to a quad core 2.4ghz with 6GB of ram. Hopefully sites will respond better and these sites will give you better performance when it comes to serving content to you.
This upgrade is directly responsible for how well the new Dumpt.com was received with its new frontpage and quick upload feature. While we are still working to tweak the site to get a few more links to actually come back to the site instead of simply using the bandwidth and us not getting banner views in return, the site is doing far better than it was before the recent overhaul.
On the DropaLink.com front, things are going very well and the site is most likely expected to relaunch this weekend unless some final bugs creep up. Playing with the site during this closed beta testing has been pretty cool when compared against the site from before that always loaded up very slow. The new site is fast and should be useful to a lot of people out there.
Some other quick changes to a few other sites at CTEN are coming as well.
We are realy excited to see how well the new DropaLink.com does as we are already using it to find content for our other sites. If you are the type of person looking for videos, images, and games on the internet the new DaL will be a very fun site for you to visit regularly.
We hope you enjoy all the upcoming changes at CTEN.
