CTEN is proud to finally release www.lilFile.com
After a few setbacks, we believe it's finally ready for the public eye. lilFile is a small, and simple service that allows you to upload files of up to 100MB within a slim web2.0 design. The site is very easy to navigate, with uploading and downloading files. Here's a quick rundown of a few of the new services features:
Up to 100MB per File.
No Sign Up Required.
Short Download URLs.
No Cluttered Design.
Easy to See Download Button.
No Download Captcha.
Uploads Never Expire.
No Premium Account Blasting.
All Extensions Accepted.
A few aspects of the site to take note on is the purposely leaving out a user registration, the lack of social networking links, and adblocker detection.
If the site grows enough, we will incorporate a user accessible page that allows users to track their uploads, and their file details, but for now we wanted to get the service out there and get it performing well.
Excluding social buttons was a simple way of preventing files from being accessed by 1000s of people all at the same time. If the service does well, this will be one of the first things we add to the site.
Due to the nature of the bandwidth this site could end up taking, we do need pay for the resources used. To help in this reguard, lilFile.com is the first CTEN site that includes some adblocking detection features, that disallow downloads while adblock is running. While this probably wont become the norm for CTEN sites, it was a must for a site that offers such a resource intensive service. One thing to take away from this detection feature is that lilFile is going to try to stay alive while keeping the ads to the bare minimum. (If you've ever used other file hosting sites, you will notice this right away.)
We hope everyone enjoys this new service, and we look forward to updating and creating even more
For non-regulars of www.CipUpload.com
you can check out some cool player updates that are going on over there as well.
We like to keep new services close to the heart, but be assured both small and large changes and services are coming to CTEN.
